The Divorce Dress
one dress. a lot of feelings.
Everybody has an ending. We have a dress.
For ten years, everyone from divorce attorneys to rock stars has slipped into the same wedding dress. Friends, strangers, even Kenda's mom. From Joshua Tree to Paris, Kenda and Georgia asked each one how it ended. The answers became this book: photos, stories, and a haiku from every ending, the sad ones, the funny ones, and the ones worth celebrating.
Tell me when it's out

Whose dress is it?
my husband's ex-wife's.
It hung in the back of Kenda's closet for two years. Selling it on eBay felt wrong. Keeping it felt weirder.
Then one night, after drinks and a few rounds of pool, Kenda and Georgia had a better idea. They put it on. They took pictures. They laughed until they cried, and then they just cried a little.
Ten years later the dress has been to Joshua Tree, Paris, London and Maui. Married people, divorced people, people who have never been anywhere near an altar have all put it on and told us about the breakups that made them. Each of them left behind a story and a haiku.
This book is about the pain of a breakup, the strength it takes to move on, and how ridiculous it all is.
